I'm super excited that my Master Series Silver has arrived. I only wish I had time to work on the interior. I need to strip the floor. sand it, clean it, prep it and seal it with this amazing rust sealer. I've heard great things about it. I'm looking forward to finishing off the interior. I can top coat this product. It supposedly has a great tooth for adhesion. We'll see! I hope I can free up some time to work on the Spider. It's killing me. Still no news on the timing belt or tensioner pulley installation. Hopefully soon.
Today was not the best day in Rhode Island to go and jack up a car and replace its tires. I headed down with my father in law and we yanked the car off of some wood beams my Uncle had put the car on. We first dragged it a few feet using a Wrangler, then lowered the boards to the ground. After that, we were able to safely pull the car out to flat ground.
Being on a gravely surface, it was a bit rough to jack up the car and get it on stand. But after some fiddling around we managed to get the car off the ground and remove the tires. Luckily the lugs had already been loosened which reduced the time considerably.
We headed out to the store, got the new tires, ate lunch and headed back to pop them on the car. I think they look great! Now I just need to get the thing running.
If it wasn't cool enough that my wife bought me this tool chest for my birthday, my father in law showed up with the intermediate three drawers for me today! I am ready!!
